La Dirección Municipal Contra las Adicciones (Dimca)
estará dando un primer paso para ver cristalizado un
proyecto largamente trabajado: que la ciudad cuente
con un centro de rehabilitación exclusivamente para
atender a mujeres.
Esto con una parte del dinero recaudado por la cena
“Sueño de una noche por Tijuana”, donde habrá
interpretaciones operísticas, una muestra de pintura
de nombre “Mujer con corazón”, y una pasarela.
“Con esto empezamos a habilitar, luego falta equipar,
luego falta el gasto corriente, pero un kilómetro se
empieza con el primer paso”, apuntó al explicar que
en total necesitan alrededor de medio millón de pesos.
La construcción, recordó, estará en el edificio de la
Estancia Municipal para Infractores (EMI), comúnmente
llamada la cárcel de “la 20”, y tendrá espacio para 30
mujeres.
La otra parte de los recursos, continuó Norma Esquivel,
será para pagar el gasto corriente del centro para
varones donde están atendiendo a 120 hombres sin
costo y que están allí por su voluntad.
El costo de los boletos es de $60 y $30 dólares y el
evento se va a llevar a cabo en la alberca de la prepara-
toria federal Lázaro Cárdenas.
Finalmente la directora de Dimca agradeció la cooperación
de los artistas que brindarán su tiempo y sus trabajos y
agradeció que los boletos estén agotados.
